You should not have to put up with this
Blocked ears are more disruptive than people realise. Conversations become exhausting. The TV goes up. You start missing things. And it quietly affects your confidence in ways you might not even notice.
You might have already tried drops or olive oil. Maybe your GP surgery no longer offers removal. Maybe you have been on a waiting list for weeks and still heard nothing.
You might be:
- Struggling to follow conversations clearly
- Feeling pressure or fullness in your ears
- Hearing ringing or buzzing that will not go away
- Feeling dizzy or off-balance
- Frustrated your GP can no longer help
- Worried about making things worse at home
You do not have to wait. We offer safe, professional earwax removal right here in Blackpool, often on the same day you call.
Quick, safe, and more comfortable than you think
We use microsuction, the same method used in hospitals and audiology clinics. A small suction device gently removes the wax without water or syringing. Most patients are surprised by how straightforward it is.
- Comfortable and safe, with no water pushed into your ear
- Suitable even with a perforated eardrum or history of ear infections
- Takes just 15 to 20 minutes from start to finish
- Most patients notice an improvement straight away
- Suitable for hearing aid users

Not certain earwax is the problem?
That is fine. We can examine your ears first and talk you through what we find. If removal is not needed, we will tell you. No pressure, no fuss.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with us. Many GP surgeries no longer offer earwax removal, so we are here to fill that gap.
Is microsuction painful?
No. Most people find it comfortable. You will hear a gentle suction sound, but it does not hurt. If you feel any discomfort, just let us know and we will stop.
How long does the appointment take?
Around 15 to 20 minutes, including the examination and removal.
What if drops and olive oil have not worked?
That is very common. Drops can soften the wax but sometimes it is too deep or impacted to shift on its own. Microsuction works even when drops have not.
Can I have it done if I have a perforated eardrum?
Yes. Microsuction is safe for people with a history of ear problems or perforated eardrums. Syringing is not suitable in those cases, which is exactly why we use microsuction instead.
Will my hearing improve straight away?
In most cases, yes. Patients often say they can hear clearly again as soon as they leave the appointment.
